My name is Javier, and I’m a self-taught artist based in Nashville. Though I’ve always been drawn to creative expression, it wasn’t until 2020, on a spontaneous trip to buy art supplies, that I truly began painting. My work often features anonymous figures with covered faces, navigating surreal or symbolic settings, inviting viewers to explore identity, introspection, absurdity, and imagination. Through bold color, humor, and contrast, I aim to capture the feeling of being both present and out of place, an experience I believe many can relate to.
